INTER-WAR PERIOD

World History April 1,2011 In the interwar period many countries participated but the ones we talked about were: United Kingdom, China, Italy, France, and Germany. Starting with France; from 1919 to 1938. France was quite successful at the world war 1, because it was a victorious war, therefore France lost a lot of men, 1.5 million of innocent people whose lives were taken away. Though they achieved a victory, France will never recover from that blow, since it started affecting in a notorious way. There was a decline in economy also, and when France was asked to pay for the war damages, they did nothing to pay back. Therefore government chose Germany as the one who was paying all the expenses and damages from the war, and this was determinate in the Versailles Treaty. Raymond Poincare was the head of France back then, and he demanded for Germany to pay for more damages, and because Germany didn't pay right away, France sent its troops to attack. And in exchange of that the Dawes Plan was formulated an agreement where now France was paying the debts of Germany. After France felt the need to set borders. France was basically destroyed by Germany. But this didn't compare to what Hitler did to Germany. Thought Germany was put in accusation for starting the world war1, it was even supposed to pay all the expenses that it caused in the war. The interwar period was the worst time perhaps of all times. Not only people were brutally assassinated, but after the war, there was a huge destruction everywhere, and some leaders took over countries and led them to failure. Countries decreased on economy, the agriculture was a mess, everything was basically a disaster after WW1. All countries were devastated and horribly affected. However Germany and France had similar issues going on. The fact that both places were lacking of toadding business, which made their economy got lower, however for Hitler was easy to lead Germany. Germany needed a leader, but of course, not that kind of leader. And by kind of leader, means a guy who's interest is himself and the ones of the Nazi parliament. However, before Hitler was on the power, France needed their money for reparations and because Germany didn't pay right away, they invaded them. So after in 1925 the Treaty of Lacarno was established and France began to receive more money from Germany. What related so much Germany with France was their spirit and passion to still fight after a War. Both countries were stubborn, and they each wanted to get away with whatever they could. At least Hitler got away with something, which was peoples lives. In conclusion, this time was devastating for everyone, but Germany and France besides war they had their own issues which was ridiculous after that massacre. The Holocaust was a huge event in history,and it was caused due to the WW1. Just as cause and effect, WW1, was the cause the effect of that was the treaty of Versailles, which caused trouble, therefore as an effect WW2 became present.

Reflection about the Prezi

I thought the Prezi was a fabulous idea,it is way more beneficial than Power Point. Sincerely, i wished that i had knew this web site before, it would have worked so much, being so helpful. I think it benefits Power Point because its almost the same but you convert it into a video, which you only show 'slide by slide' what you want the audience to see by the order you want. I think its beneficial in the part that you don't have to be clicking slide after slide, its only one whole presentation which moves by itself. Another benefit is the fact that you can see youtube videos directly. You don't have to click in a link to open a page, the video is already loaded and playing. So prezi is only better than Power Point only by few amazing details. I find it super easy to work with it, even easier when i took a 2 min tutorial which guided you through everything. What i didnt like was the fact that you cant time how much you want a photo to bee seen, i would had like to research a little bit more in that, because im pretty sure you can i just dont know how. And i would like to add music to the background. Another thing i disliked about Prezi was its 6 background theme, it just wasnt creative.I found difficult the embed the video to my blogger, it was hard for me, thats why i asked a friend to teach me how to do that.

I really dont know! i mean i have been working with Power Point for years now. And honestly replacing it with Prezi would be something BIG. But i would rather work with Prezi is more simple, easy, creative, and looks way better. Plus in Power Point all the slide shows take a lot of space in the computer (mb). But the Prezi is just a simple video that doesnt occupy lots of space, so it loads fast.

non smoking p.s.a

Me and Sofia got 'non smoking advertisement'. We planned it all and we decided to make one of the many situations of why is it bad for people to smoke. We chose a 'mother' who was smoking in the car with his kid in it, and he got contaminated for so much smoke, that when he was older he ended up having lung cancer. We chose this because, we thought about adults as well as teens realizing by seeing that when they smoke, they affect the ones surrounding them. And if you have the unhelthy vice to smoke, children are exposed to your vice also. Its dangerous to contaminate their little lungs with your unawareness.

What i would like to change perhaps would be putting more emphasis in the kid, or being more serious about the situation. I think our p.s.a. gets to the exact point, but i dont think is very strong enough. What me and sofia wanted to do it transmit some kind of guilt, that way people stop being so unaware, and care more about their health. It was good but im guessing not that powerful, it was interesting, though some people might had laugh. That was not the point. We wanted to be serious about this theme. Doing a more concentrated and foccused p.s.a. that makes people worry. Using more strong and shocking images! thats what remains in the brain. Which psycologically makes the society react, and be more aware of this health situation.

The best one in the class for me was debora's and jade's. It went straight to the point, it was ovious, it had concecuences of the acts. They achive the main goal, demonstrate: cause and effect. They did an interesting P.S.A. but its more for teens. They inform directly which was great.

Public Service Announcements (PSA)...

A Public service announcement is a small commercial which works by giving educational lessons. Doesn't sell a product. It helps to inform people about a certain thing. Is quick and direct. Gives facts so peope are aware that it is true.It is similar to a commercial because they are talking about a product, though in the PSA doesn't sell the product. I would like to work with: Debora. Because she is my neighbor, we have similar ideas, we put effort on project, she encourages me to do a better job, and i always end up having fun with her. My other option is Adriana, shes creative too, i like doing projects with her cause its fun, and i get to teach her lots of things. She has lots of materials, she follows orders and she understands what the theme is. My last option, is Mahonrry, he is s good guy who is wiling to cooperate, he gives lots of ideas and supports opinions.He is such a responsible guy, and an excellent partner while working. Five things i could do my PSA about: 1.not smoking 2.driving under alcohol dangerous 3.texting while driving 4. dont do drugs 5.Aids The ones i will select would be: not smoking, driving under alcohol is dangerous, and texting while driving. Not smoking, i would do a announcement about the effects of smoking, and why is it bad for your health. I would tell a personal story, so people actually get awared of it,and they take it serious. The driving under alcohol influence, i would say why is it bad.. what does it cause? how you can KILL people. you can kill from an stranger to your own famiy, or even take away your own life. Mostly say reasons, and do a shocking video about it. What people find socking, it stays in their continence. And for the texting while driving, i would oviously put the concecuentces to that act, and some shocking pictures, Showing some cause and effect. Perhaps making a trumatic sene, and how in a matter of seconds life can change. For my PSA i will really do it based to somehting shocking, because from a shocking image that is in your head you are aware of what you shouldnt dom because you dont wanna end like the picture you saw.

COMERCIALS

As watching videos from the super bowl and videos from the classemates you really identify the art and the creativity from them. I watched so many commercials from the super bowl, but the first one i saw, was the one i loved! I bet everybody else did to cause is simply entretaining. Well my favortie comemercial fromt he super bowl was the 'darth vader-volkswagen'. With this little kid dressed as darth vader trying to move stuff around, is just hillarious. The kid did the whole commercial perfect. I wouldnt change ANYHTING from it, is simple, clear, hillarious, entretaining, and it sells the product! what else can a commercial have?

But then.. there where those awful commercials, which not only where boring but there was one which seemed absolutely scary! I would change everything from it. 'Android is ready to play'. hoenstly the commercial is scary and disgusting. They but thumbs on a robot, im so busy looking at how disgusting is it that i dont even know what the advertizement was about. I would change everything form it. It just doesnt have a good idea, and is not a nice image to see.

Then my friends comercials well they where all pretty good and others boring or lack of enthusiasm but i have a winner in this cometition. :)
My friend JORGE VITAL takes the award to the best comercial. He did an advertizement on 'coca cola' and its simply hillarious, funny, entretaining, simple, and it sells the product. Jorge's was the best. It was the one i kept repeting over and over and over, cus i just didnt got tired of it. Jorge congratulations! your creativity took you to the top, you are ready for the big industires! hahaaha

Carlton Draught Comercial

I love this commercial is really hilarious and over all unexpected, which is the fun part of it.I thought that this commercial was so creative, that is what i like the most about it. The commercial i picked Carlton Draught | "Big Ad"is a commercial which promotes beer. And is so itnense because you see thousands of people running agains teach other until they intersect and you see the image fromt he sky and it looks like a guy drinking beer. This commercial isnt of the ones which leaves you with a message, its just simple fun.
Though there are other commercials that do leave a profound effect on you. An excellent commercial that I seriously got a lesson of is the following:

It is about everything that you post online. The reason this commercial had a profound meaning on me, was becasue it was like a wake up call. Everyone can find out everything you post on the internet, parents, friends,family, even strangers. Sometimes we don't realize that internet isn't private, and that as it is communicative and informative its also dangerous.


By watching commercials daily you learn the ones which are not so good, and the ones which catch you attention quick. There are every type of commercials, they promote shoes- and even trips, etc. Its not what you are promoting is the way you do it. You've got to interest the audience, keep them watching (of course not for a long time), and get directly to the point, leave them with the product in mind, and make them feel as if they needed it. The elements i would use in this project are a video camera, a theme of what my commercial will be about, my props and some people perhaps. What challenges me the most in this project is interesting the audience and make it seem like a real commercial. And of course my BIGGEST CHALLENGE IS: leave the expectations thinking of the product I'll be promoting.

ONE DAY ON EARTH PROJECT/VIDEO

My video is based on 'one day on earth video' but its main theme is attraction's reaction.
What i mean with this is the fact that you are attracted to many things in life, from a landscape, to the smallest thing like a rock. And then comes the reaction which is the beautiful part of my project, the fact that humans are able to react towards an action, and without being concient of it. And when you're not concient about certain things, and you'r brain automatically makes them for it self, thats the most pure acttion, cause its being totally honest.
Attractions--reaction.
The reaction towards something its what brings afterward the feeling of it, meaning its emotion.
An example of this is : youre attracted to the beautiful waves in the sea, you instantly smile, thats the reaction which creates the feeling of happines, joy, and tranquility.
I think my project is simply amazing, cause it demonstrates in a certain way what im trying to say. It demonstrates the things we, humans, are attracted to, and our reaction to life's experiences.
I was inspired by the title 'one day on earth', which brings MILLIONS of ideas. But i came out with this one because i thought, one day on earth must be full with lots of emotions, and the emotions come from reactions towards something, right?
The reaction is the consecuence of Attraction.
I really liked my video not only because it is creative, but because its a world around me, and my life.

I enjoy the video a lot, its simple, quick and seriously amazing.
The song and the pictures are what really get you interested. The
message of the video is to demonstrate how the eath is,
the good things about it, and the bad things that we have to deal with.
But mostly, the nice things on earth that make life beautiful. The video
its pointing out whats happening all around the earth, and its demonstratnig
the details of life which
make it perfect. Its similar to a wake up call, but more
like stop and look around whats going on, take a picture.

We were, working on measuring the amount of gas our car spends each year from going to our house, to the school. And its quite difficult to know because its not only the ride to school,but the way back.
The fuel that my car ,a GMC Yukon,spends at a year 460.84 Liters, which i find absolutely ridiculous amount of gasoline to be put in a car, to be burned so it contaminates the environment. I rememebr telling my mom about this yesterday, and disusing the issue of amount of money we spend of gasoline per year, and only on our way to school. I'd say,yea out car its transportation but what a great way to spend the money while contaminating the environment.
We did a measurement of our dream car also. I chose, a Jeep Liberty 4wd, which i realize that it spends 307.88 liters per year, believe me when i said, although i love this car, the fact that it contaminates that much just disappointing me. I'd rather have an hybrid car or something, its better to be comfortable, but while doing something good, meaning not contamination the environment.

J- something i Just did.
* Well recently something I did was travel in a van, with a bunch of kids. The reason we did this way because the bridge situation. The Ameca river's bridge fell! So our parents were worried that the other bridge might fell during this past couple of days. So as the opened one bridge, the traffic increased, people coming from and going to Puerto Vallarta. So today int the morning, we all kids were traveling in a Van so we could arrive on time, and maybe, so our parents would feel okay about our safety. So we were 16 kids traveling in a van today in the recent morning. We left our home at 7, and still be the time, it was full of traffic. To admit it, we were all nervous to cross the bridge, cause we thought if the river could hit one bridge and make it fall, why wouldn't it hit the other? We were kind of scared, we just didn't wanted to think of an minimum chance of the other bridge might falling. So we crossed the bridge, and it was quite a thing crossing it, and seeing with our own eyes, the other bridge broke in a half. I was quite impressed, the others were to.
I'de never felt that fear crossing the bridge, it was quite an morning experience!

O-One thing that you would like to do for yourself.
One thing i would like to do for myself its to learn new stuff, and be opened to new experiences. I mean, let myself try more things that I'd never had. I would totally go for extreme things, some rush of adrenaline, let myself experiment. I would totally love to do that for myself! I usally im opened to new plans, new stuff, i always have the idea of experimenting, tho i don't do it to much. I think by letting myself do this, i would feel more free!
And of course, i would be able to do way more activities than the ones
im used to usually. An example of this is: getting over my ocean fear' and let
myself to dive in the ocean and discover the world down there. I'm dying to see
the whole new ocean world ive never seen before but in TV! hahaah whats better
than a life experience! Thats why i would love, for my self to get over any obstacle
and do everything i propose!

Y-a part of You that makes you very special
I don't consider myself the Kind of the universe, tho I feel I'm pretty
special & not in a weird and rare way. My way of being special its being
Unique! That is what makes me special, the fact that I'm no one else
and I don't intend to be. I love being unique, having my own ideas
and letting myself choose, instead of letting someone else.
I think being unique its not something easy to do this days,
having that quality aint easy neither, this is because the hundreds of
different styles they are in today world, and being unique will imply
not copy one of them. But the fact of being completley unique its being
myslef, and as i said before i dont try to be neither intend to eb like some onee
else.

Typing tracker

I did improve in fact right now i got the highest grade i had ever got! I did improve and a lot. I feel i have learn how to type faster and without seeing at the key board that many times. I type faster becasue( and i don't want to admit it but i HAVE TO) but because we practice every day....! Typing should be part of ninth grade but like once a week or once every two weeks! I mean its very helpful, but i would rather be learning to edit a video and use my imagination, than try t type faster. We, teenagers learn how to type faster in our houses we use the computer average of daily, and we learn how to write faster, in fact all generations coming are typing faster right now. We are thankful for the resources in the school about teaching us how to type faster, but we are learning that on our own. What I dislike was to Type every day for more than 5 minutes, which annoyed me. Of course, it did helped and i could see my improvements, but I'd rather practice less. But you know what they say " What doesn't hurt, doesn't gain". And it actually didn't hurt exactly but we used to complain a lot becasue we were tired, but all of this "suffering" had great consequences.

Graphs

The best graph i could have choose was the graph of math, it demostrates clearly my improvement and my falls. In some i didn improve, although it wasnt what i expected. I didnt improve that much as i wanted to. In every subject is different, i improve for a while but i found my self failing it latter.I do feel the need to improve my scores because im not reaching my goals. I love the types of graphes i used to prove my point in every subject, but the graph i liked the most was the math one. It acctualy said what i needed to see. Express the actual results and demostrades my impovement and my decreases. Its alike to the reading graph, but they are not the same.The language graph is very good to, but it just shows improvement, you cant notice the changes that easily. You dont get what you whant to see acurate. But i use it for the language becasue im not interested in my past grades i just whant to see if there is an improvement, which weould be slightly noticed.
I firmily recomend the graph i used for math,its super accurate!

Oil Spill

Oil Spills can be really dangerous for the exosystems. They can damage animals, as well as the human health it self. And the most hard thing is fixing all the mess that has been done.

Although the solutions for the oil spill are difficult tu aply, because its a major disaster many people have come up with posssible solutions such as:Using a Magnetic plug, perhaps with a rubber seal around it the diameter of the pipe. Other solution is to crush the pipe flat and crimp it off. Or even pump the oil waters into the tanks from Gulf using a high powered pump.

A popular method to clean up oil spills is to skim it from the water using skimming equipment with fine filtering systems. Another of the tons of options is adding dispersants which are chemicals that break down the tension that keeps oil and water separated. When oil is sprayed with a dispersant, the oil collects in smaller droplets and sinks. This allows for greater natural breakdown. Also if they could insert a one way plug into the pipe where it could be inserted into the pipe to a depth that would give it a chance to move a small amount on the way back out but would start to spread open and wedge itself in to the side walls of the pipe with the pressure from the oil on the way out with more pressure the tighter the wedge.

The best thing that we can do is DO SOMETHING! istead of not doing anything about it.

MAP TEST

Last week was very tired and stressful. This was because we had out map test, this are test that help out teacher to recognize the education level we have. And it helps us to have goals and reach them. Although this tests are helpful its my job to say nothing else but the truth. This test are seriously exhausting, average they have 50 questions each and some questions are really difficult, so all that thinking is exhausting.Yeah, I would say i don't dislike them that much, i mean we lose class and sometimes you learn more stuff. But in a quick resume, they are really tired, and you get really stressed because you know the amount of time given its not enough, and the time they give us is normally the period before break or lunch which really its stressful, because you want to miss class but not your free periods.

saving the WORLD presentations (aka DEBO)

My presentation was very good, that's what I think and what my group told me. And according to my evaluation I did very well. Of course there were some things i could had changed, or improven, but in my opinion i did really well. My theme was animals in extinction and i think i prove my point, and that was also what my classmates told me.
And comepared to the other presentations that i saw i think mine was fabulous. My group did a very good job all of them i learned more things about this environmental problem.
Everyone did a great job and i think mine was awesome! it did prove my point(:

Powerpoint Presentations

Power Point presentations, can be very efficient some times, and this is, is you know
how to present. I know this by firsthand. In six grade i used to make powerpoint presentations
all the time. And by the time, i learn how to present. Some people did knew how to catch the audience attention easily, others were incredibly boring.
The aspect that made it so boring was the too much writing. Apart form writing too much, they read every damn word. And the writing was just too much, you just couldn't help driving your view to another place. People who write a lot in their slides is because they are used to read it all, and of course apart from being incredibly boring they loose audience in the first sentence.
